Reno/Tahoe Tapped as "Hip Spot to Call Home"

Thanks to the recent surge in businesses moving to the Reno/Tahoe area, and the regions unmatched adventure playground, our neighboring city of Reno, Nevada was recently tapped as one of the “hippest cities in the USA” as noted by the U.S Hipster Index.

Pair all the city life of Reno with the peace and quiet of our hometown in Incline Village on Lake Tahoe’s north shore, and we’d have to concur: “Why live or work anywhere else on the planet.”

Yet you don’t need to take our word for it.  Just click into this story from MoveHub.com and you will learn that the honors were tapped due to the regions appeal to millennials who are known to be drawn to communities with a good selection of farm to table food stores and restaurants, progressive politics, thrift stores (really!) and microbreweries (go figure!).

With the city of Reno just a short, scenic, drive from Incline, we’re finding that families, in particular, are choosing to call our hometown ‘their town’.   And here’s proof.

Tahoe Truckee Real Estate Sales on the Upswing

This past month, Lake Tahoe and Truckee real estate statistics showed great promise for what the future may hold for our region.   I must say that the information is a good way to end a year that started with one of the most significant snowfall records in history which led to a summer filled with endless fun on the lakes and streams, and now ends with stats that show a promising future for real estate in the Truckee and Lake Tahoe region.

All combined, it seems that the world continues to hear about all the benefits that come with living the good life in and around the High Sierra.
