Remember Days Like This? Check Out These Walls of Snow!

Mt Rose Summit January 2017

SERIOUS WALLS OF SNOW ENSURE GREAT SKI SEASON, HEALTHY LAKE LEVELS AHEAD

For those of us who have lived in Lake Tahoe for the past 20 years or so, scenes like this photograph (courtesy of Nevada Department of Transportation this past week) posted above were not unusual.  Those were the days that you woke up, shoveled several feet from your driveway, went to work ... and then came home to shovel out and do it all over again.

With another pending system coming into the region later today, you can bet that our long-time residents, as well as those who are new to the area in Incline Village, Nevada, are well prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to bring our way.

Ski Resorts Ready for More Snow

Although there are many resources that we monitor to watch the weather and road conditions at Lake Tahoe, one of the most accurate is Bryan Allegretto of OpenSnow.com.   He has a solid reputation among the ski resorts and that alone certainly solidifies his credibility.

His short term forecast indicates that there is indeed more snow on the way. When it is all said and done (and predicted to be over by Saturday evening, January 21) it will be time to get out the boards and skis to enjoy yet another great week and months to come for skiing throughout the High Sierra.

Be sure to make your reservations for your vacation rental in Lake Tahoe sooner than later as we anticipate some great snow, and good business, this weekend and in weeks to come.

Want to know how much snow is on the way?  Check out Bryan's estimates then call us at 888.686.5253 or visit our home and condominium rental options in North Lake Tahoe soon!
