Top Things to Love about Lake Tahoe (Part Two)

Incline Village Homes for SAle

Earlier this month, we shared a list of some of the reasons why we LOVE Lake Tahoe and living and working in Incline Village and Crystal Bay.  There are sooo many reasons we love about working at Sun Bear Realty and Vacation Rentals and living in the community that surrounds us, we decided to continue the trend.  See our top picks below and we will see you out and about!

It’s All About the Brews – and the Tahoe Ale Trail!

Leave it to the creative juices of those who promote the North Shore to develop a

award-winning, interactive map and video series about the “Tahoe Ale Trail” to get you to the best brews in Lake Tahoe and within in the West.

Watching the videos through this link then use the interactive map with information about the hiking, biking and paddling trails and neighboring watering holes can be discovered by hovering over the icons.

Love Wildflowers? Guided Hikes in Lake Tahoe?

Lucky for all of us, come springtime and well into the summer, the Sierra overflows with all things nature. From spring wildflower season throughout Desolation Wilderness  some of the best guided history and wildflower hikes in Lake Tahoe that you could ever want to stumble upon, Incline Village and Crystal Bay is a base camp to some of the most beautiful sights and settings on the planet.

We are continually impressed with all the options for guided hikes with those who know the land best that we thought we'd dedicate this blog to the subject at hand. Take a look at our favorite options through our Blog about Guided Hikes in Lake Tahoe that we recommend to our guests when they are looking for a nature and educational hike with a professional guide in Lake Tahoe.

We Doggone Dog Friendly!

We love our furry friends as much as our family, as we are sure the rest of the world does too. However, those of us who live in Lake Tahoe have our favorite parks that not only welcome dogs to roam free they are also perfect spots for a picnic in the shade or morning stroll.  All of which are just a short drive from our vacation rental agency in North Lake Tahoe.

There are several dog friendly restaurants in Lake Tahoe that welcome your dog to the table, or at least to lay down close to your table. Most of the access for pets is only available where there is outside seating so do your research. Right here in Incline, Austins Restaurant and La Fondue, do welcome pets. We LOVE our Golf Courses in Lake Tahoe

And that is an understatement. Whenever we can find some time before our real estate office in Incline Village opens for the day, or is closed for the night, you can rest assured we are out on the links watching the sunrise over the sand traps!

Here are highlights of our favorite links to tee it high and let it fly. For a complete list of golf courses at Lake Tahoe and Truckee, visit GoTahoeNorth.

Incline Village Championship Golf Course

With the golf season officially opening in Incline Village every spring season, you will probably see Blane on the links on opening day! It is his favorite course … wrapped with some of the most views on the planet.

A snippet from their website tells the story best: “A classic Robert Trent Jones Sr. design, this classic design golf course features distinctive design and the most beautiful views imaginable. Voted #10 in Golf Advisor's 2018 "Best Courses in the State”, 2012 and 2013 by Golf Digest magazine, and "Best State-by-State Courses" in 2016 by Golfweek magazine.

Incline Village Mountain Golf Course

An amazing mountain layout with old growth trees and elevation changes, this 18-hole Incline Village golf course is fun, affordable and scheduled to open in early June. The Mountain Course is the highest elevation golf course in the State of Nevada and the Tahoe Basin.

Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course - On the East Shore

Home of the biggest celebrity golf events in the nation, Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course hosts the prestigious American Century Celebrity Golf Classic every July on the edge of the Lake’s east shore. If the views of the Lake and surrounding High Sierra don’t interrupt your game, the course is one you will enjoy and remember for years to come.
