Lake Tahoe Summer Concerts and Festivals

While we wait for the extraordinary snowpack to melt its way into our rivers and streams, we start to pack the picnic baskets and lounge chairs and head on out to the region’s legendary concerts and festivals. 

To help you get a jump on the same, we’ve listed some of our favorite things to do in Lake Tahoe all summer long.  And watch for our next blog as we continue to share a long list of all the music, arts and culture that are all a part of the summer season at Lake Tahoe.

Valhalla Renaissance Faire

June 1 – 2; June 8-9

Go back in time to the 16^th Century and head on over to Camp Richardson Resort to participate in what is without question on of the finest local presentations of a classic Renaissance faire. It’s their 25^th anniversary with the celebration to include music, merrymaking, and all the sights and sounds that one would expect.

If you have never experienced a TOCCATTA concert, this summer it’s time that you do.  For many years this non-profit organization has presented some of the region’s finest concerts, and this summer is no exception.  Within the line-up are performances that showcase Mozart with Bruce Kanzelmeyer on the French Horn, Tchaikovsky arias and duets with Joy Strotz and Owen McIntosh as vocal soloists and an Evard Grieg concerto with Yirong Wang on the piano at locations around the region.

It’s the celebration of the start of summer and something you’ll want to celebrate as well.  Through this lakefront community there’s a line-up of entertainment that includes the annual Tahoe City Food & Wine Classic, Farmer’s Markets, Classical Car Stroll, Tequila Tasting and Tipsy Fashion Show and lots more.

This 5^th annual event is always one we like to attend. Just take the short scenic drive to the Truckee Airport and take in all the homegrown goods.  Bring your appetite as the selection of Food Trucks and local breweries are the perfect combination for a summer supper.  There’s also a wide assortment of booths that overflow with local artisan creations, kid’s activities, and eclectic assortment of hobbies and projects for you to create and enjoy for years to come.   No matter what concerts in Lake Tahoe that you choose to attend, we’ll remind you that the sooner you make your vacation rental reservation in Incline Village and Crystal Bay the sooner you’ll be on your way to yet another spectacular summer at the Lake!
