Reno Jazz Orchestra Presents "Home for the Holidays"

The spirit of Christmas and Hanukkah comes to life as the 17-piece Reno Jazz Orchestra and headlining vocalists present “Home for the Holidays” December 17 at 7:30 p.m. and December 19 at 4:00 p.m. at The Theatre in Reno, Nevada.

“This year’s production is a good-old-fashioned tribute to the music that we grew up with here in America,” said Chuck Reider, Reno Jazz Orchestra board president. “The whole family will enjoy over two hours of music and songs that will include a wide variety of classics that will rekindle the magical memories of being home for the holidays.”

The Reno Jazz Orchestra has been based in Northern Nevada for over 20 years. It was formed by musicians who performed and traveled the world with acts such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Elvis Presley, Natalie Cole, Luciano Pavarotti, and other legendary performers. The tradition of jazz excellence set by the founders continues today with jazz professors, educators, and graduates from the University of Nevada, Reno’s, jazz studies program setting new performance standards.

Tickets are $30 for General Seating, $10 for Students (with I.D.) and can be purchased at RenoJazzOrchestra.org or 775-372-6160. All concert attendees (ages three and up) are required to wear masks and provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the performance.

Healing HealthCare Systems, Chase International, EL Cord Foundation, Nevada Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Art Works, Thunder Rand & Co., Tanglewood Productions, City of Reno, This is Reno, and the RJO Circle of Friends, Band Partners, and Band Fans support the Reno Jazz Orchestra.
