Top Tips for a Romantic Dinner and Getaway to Incline Village / Crystal Bay North Lake Tahoe

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, perhaps it’s time to unplug, unwind, and work your way to Lake Tahoe for a romantic getaway this year.  To help you plan a romantic escape, we’ve selected some of our favorite spots to cozy up with your Valentine this year.  From lakefront restaurants to cozy alpine settings by the fire, Incline Village and Crystal Bay have some of the finest options to dine with your Valentine this year, and in years to come!

Soule Domain

9983 Cove Street, Kings Beach, CA 96143

Voted “Best Place to Take A Date” for years on end, Soule Domain is one of our favorite finds for a gourmet dinner by the fire.  Inside this historic cabin, Chef Charles Soule and his staff continue to impress their guests with innovative options made of the highest quality ingredients “made with love and respect.”

As their website notes it best: “The Soule Domain’s upscale, intimate restaurant deliciously combines style & romance in the cozy dining room.  “I want my guests to walk away feeling like they had a complete experience—full of good food at a good price, having had a good time. Our rustic Tahoe log cabin is the perfect setting for your special event. Whether you’re looking for an exquisite wedding reception, an impressive business function, or just a great employee party, we promise to make it memorable.”

La Fondue

120 Club Drive, Incline Village, Nevada 89451

If you have yet to dine within this intimate alpine setting, this is the year to do so.  We just love this place. And unlike other fondue restaurants, La Fondue offers its brand-new take on healthy fare offering fondue with health broth options as well as the traditional oil-and cheese recipes.

This quaint and cozy alpine restaurant is an ideal venue for wedding rehearsal dinners, receptions, anniversaries, and birthdays, too!  And, with prior notice, they are happy to close the restaurant for private parties.

During the warmer months, they ‘d love to serve you outside in the crisp and clear mountain air!  And, this is also one of the favorite spots for families so your kids can be kids, and you can all enjoy a fun and interactive meal together.

From their traditional Chocolate Fondue to classic Apple Strudel, you will want to save room for some scrumptious desserts.

Hungry yet?

Big Water Grille

341 Ski Way, Incline Village, NV 89451

Promoted ‘At the height of lakeview dining ‘… Big Water Grille in Incline has been serving some of the most delectable dinners wrapped with spectacular views of Lake Tahoe for over 20 years.  It’s located just below Diamond Peak and is a local’s favorite year after year.  We enjoy its ‘bistro-style’ menu that is not shy of pushing the envelope and serving wild game and fresh seafood throughout the year.

We like to stop in for appetizers and one of their signature martinis after a full day on the slopes.  Perhaps you and your Valentine will as well.

Whatever you choose to do, the views are worth the time to stop in and check out the menu for now or a special event in your near future.  During the warmer months, their outdoor deck offers a spectacular setting for a small wedding or anniversary. Once the formalities are over, you can reserve the entire restaurant for the reception and dancing into the night.

Hyatt / Lone Eagle Grille
111 Country Club Drive Incline Village, NV 89451

Be it winter, spring, summer, or fall, put this on your list.  Grab a beverage and head OUTSIDE and sit by the fire pit on the edge of the lake.   Then perhaps slip inside to savor some of their seasonal offerings from their five-star menu.

Noted from their website “Our menu ranges from expertly paired game meats and seafood to creative takes on vegetarian favorites. Our staff is made up of talented chefs, passionate sommeliers and cocktail artists, and a reception team who love entertaining and creating authentic and memorable experiences.

The Lone Eagle Lounge features oversized panoramic windows, heavy wooden beams, a two-story stone fireplace, and custom-made wooden tables and seating reminiscent of a classic Tahoe lodge. The main dining room offers al fresco dining in the warmer months and table space for parties from two to 20 or more, situated near windows for sunset or by our luxurious stone fireplaces. “
