Dummy Downhill at Diamond Peak, Lake Tahoe - April 4, 2026

Next, there might not be a better time to experience one of Lake Tahoe most signature event for spectators and participants alike: The Annual Dummy Downhill at Diamond Peak on April 4th then join our family as we gather for Easter on the slopes April 5th.

This is Diamond Peak’s signature spring event and the biggest party of the year. Even non-skiers will want to come watch the madness! A panel of celebrity judges will evaluate all Dummies on the snow by the Base Lodge, followed by the dummy launch and an awards ceremony. Prizes and certificates are awarded for creativity, best crash, furthest distance, shortest distance, survivor, and most sustainable.

For the Sustainability Award (judged by IVGID Waste Not), Dummies will be graded based on these criteria: incorporation of recycled materials, reduction or elimination of plastic elements, minimizing litter produced upon crashing, and overall sustainability messaging. Golden Egg Hunt at Diamond Peak, Lake Tahoe, April 5, 2026

Hop over to Diamond Peak on Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026) to enjoy the slopes and celebrate our local Olympian Lila Lapanja with a golden egg hunt and meet-and-greet! 

A limited amount of jumbo golden eggs will also be hidden on the mountain for skiers and snowboarders to hunt for! Exchange golden eggs at the bunny booth on the Base Lodge deck for prize bags filled with DP lift tickets, swag and more.

Easter Church Service on the Slopes at Diamond Peak, Lake Tahoe

At 2:00 pm First Baptist Church of Tahoe City will lead a special Easter Sunday worship service at the top of Lakeview Chair. For more information, contact Diamond Peak.
