Earlier this month we provided highlights of the best Reno/Lake Tahoe fall events. As promised, the list continues! OCTOBER FALL & HALLOWEEN EVENTS IN LAKE TAHOE
TRAIL OF TREATS AND TERROR / INCLINE VILLAGE
October 30, 2025 (Reservations Open October 1, 2025)
Twenty-four years ago, our community gathered its ghosts and goblins and created a trail on which to trick n’ treat in a fun and safe setting. Next month, on October 30th, the tradition of the Trail of Treats and Terror will continue with more in store than ever before for from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm along the Fitness Trails by the Recreation Center.
While you work on what costumes to create for this year’s event, reservations are required so click on this link, starting October 1, to reserve your spot.
Where to Park
Parking is available at the Incline Village Recreation Center, the Tennis Center, the Donald W. Reynolds Parasol Building, and Incline Middle School. Please do not walk on Incline Way. Use paths that lead to CERT safe road crossing. The crossing will be located parallel to the back drive of the Recreation Center which will be closed to cars. Aspen Grove lot is available for ADA parking ONLY. The overflow lot will be closed for event staging and emergency vehicles. .
What to Wear
First and foremost, a COSTUME! Waterproof boots or shoes or hiking boots are best as you wander through the forest and trails.
What to Bring
Don’t forget your proof of residency (IVGID picture pass, Recreation Punch Card, valid ID with IV/CB address, lease, utility bill), and just as important … a bag to collect candy along the way!

There are many ways to get involved including making a donation (for covering costs of candy, safety lights, and permitting fees ma), helping to plan the event, setting up a spooky scene and more. Visit the event's website for all the scoop.

CREEPERS BALL / CRYSTAL BAY CLUB
October 30, 2025/ Featuring "Poor Man's Whiskey"
Northern California’s outlaw music bards bring a reputation for high-energy live shows and an incomparable fusion of bluegrass/old time, southern rock, and old school jam to stages and festivals worldwide. Poor Man’s Whiskey has been growing exponentially in the past five years selling out venues across the country and this Halloween, it's our own hometown at the Crystal Bay Casino!
This “High-Octane Hootenanny” will certainly delight those interested in a foot-stompin good time. Poor Man’s Whiskey has evolved into a ragged, spontaneous beast pulling from equally deep wells of story-telling originals, expertly crafted covers and zany on-stage shenanigans. PMW has released 6 studio albums and have a stunning repertoire to choose songs from creating a new show every night.
In addition to their upbeat original sets Poor Man’s Whiskey have developed special late night “tribute sets” with their original bluegrass/americana twists which include “Dark Side of the Moonshine” (bluegrass interpretation of the classic Pink Floyd album) , “Graceland” (tribute to the classic Paul Simon album), “Old and In the Way”, “Tribute to Allman Brothers Band”, and “Tribute to Kate Wolf”.
