COME EARLY. BRING YOUR PATIENCE.
Next, if you are flying into the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, they are expecting to see more than 16,000 passengers during peak travel days in the next couple of weeks. The busiest travel days are expected to be:
- March 14 (Friday)
- March 21 (Friday)
- March 24 (Monday)
- March 28 (Friday)
Officials at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is recommending passengers arrive two hours before their flight - especially as you are probably coming with your skis or snowboards, plus other luggage.
SAVE $!
If you are planning on using Uber or Lyft to get to the slopes, check this out. The airport has a collaborative SPRING BREAK DISCOUNT for those who rideshare to the Sierra. Get the voucher for the discount by using RNOSpring25. The discount can be used from now to March 30th.
SKI AND RIDE EARLY
Be it spring break or just a sunny weekend, our team at SunBear Realty and Property Management at Lake Tahoe are ALWAYS at the lift line the moment the lifts begin to spin. As for taking a break or having a hearty lunch, head in early and eat by 11:30. We also leave the parking lots by 3:00 pm to avoid the pending traffic during the busy spring season.
MAKE YOUR DINNER RESERVATIONS, NOW
Same concept for planning well in advance. Spring Break in the Sierra is indeed busy, yet you can enjoy all the restaurants in Incline Village and Crystal Bay, Nevada, by eating early. Check out the options here.
PLAN FOR PLENTY OF SUNSHINE!
We just checked the weather forecast for the last two weeks of March. Temps will range from the high 40's to the low 60's ... with tons of sun. That said, bring your sunscreen as you will be skiing at high elevations where the rays are super strong.
GO KAYAKING OR TAKE A SPRING SNOWSHOE TOUR
Wait, what? Yes! Here are two great things to do to unplug and find some peace and quiet during Spring Break in Lake Tahoe.
There may not be a better time to snowshoe the morning and paddle yourself above the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe. To learn more about kayaking and snowshoeing in North Lake Tahoe, check in with our friends at Tahoe Adventure Company. The offer rentals and tours if you want to really get to know Big Blue!
No matter where you go or what you do, there will be plenty of more adventures awaiting you and yours throughout the seasons to come. We look forward to seeing you on your next Lake Tahoe vacation!
